Ido Geiko is a form of technical training in motion, widely used in Kyokushin. During these drills, practitioners move across the dojo while simultaneously throwing strikes or executing blocks.
The main goal of Ido Geiko is to teach a karateka to maintain proper technique while moving. In a real fight, a competitor constantly changes distance and body position, so the ability to work dynamically is of great importance.
