Learn a ten-number practice sequence and test recognition for one minute. The interactive Russian-language trainer provides Japanese script, romanisation, approximate Russian readings and multiple-choice practice.

Updated: 18 October 2026. Prepared by the SibKarate editorial team. Native-speaker review and recorded human narration are not claimed.

How to practise

  1. Read the reference table without a timer.
  2. Start the 60-second written-recognition round and select the matching number.
  3. Choose the next question after each answer. Skipping does not earn a correct answer.
  4. If a Japanese device voice is available, try listening mode and the slower speech setting.

Reading alternatives and audio limitations

The reference includes the alternatives shi/yon, shichi/nana and ku/kyū, documented in the Japan Foundation Marugoto number chart. Follow your instructor’s chosen counting sequence rather than treating another accepted reading as automatically incorrect.

Audio is optional browser/device speech synthesis, not a recording of a narrator. Availability and quality depend on the device and its speech service. Offline speech is not guaranteed. The tool neither uses a microphone nor evaluates pronunciation; without a Japanese voice, the written mode remains usable.
