Ushiro mawashi geri is one of the most difficult and spectacular kicks in Kyokushin. The name translates as «spinning roundhouse kick.»

Ushiro mawashi geri can result in a knockout even with minimal contact.

The technique requires:
— good coordination;
— sense of distance;
— speed;
— precision.

In Kyokushin, the kick is used both in kumite and in demonstration performances.

Despite its difficulty, ushiro mawashi geri is considered one of the most impressive techniques in full-contact karate.
