Biography

Andrey Luzin is one of the most decorated Russian fighters in modern Kyokushin. Throughout his career he has won the World Championship, the All Japan Championship, European and Russian championships, and has twice earned a medal at the IKO Absolute World Championship.

Andrey began training Kyokushin at the age of nine under Eduard Galiev. As a teenager he was already producing serious results on the international scene. His first major success was a silver medal at the junior world championship.

In 2021, Andrey Luzin was awarded the title of Honored Master of Sport of Russia. Today he is considered one of the most successful Russian fighters in the history of IKO Kyokushinkaikan.

Path in Kyokushin

From the very start of his competitive career, Luzin stood out for his high discipline and extensive competition experience. After strong performances at the junior level, he quickly moved into the senior category.

In 2014, Andrey made his mark on the international stage for the first time by winning a bronze medal at the All Japan Championship. That result brought him to the attention of the world Kyokushin community.

The following years were a period of rapid rise. Luzin began consistently winning or placing at the major tournaments in Europe and Russia, gradually becoming one of the leaders in the IKO world rankings.

Since 2020 he has represented the Kaliningrad region and trains under Sergey Romanchev.
