Ushiro mawashi geri is one of the most difficult and spectacular kicks in Kyokushin. The name translates as “spinning roundhouse kick.”

Ushiro mawashi geri can result in a knockout even with minimal contact.
The technique requires:
– good coordination;
– sense of distance;
– speed;
– precision.
In Kyokushin, the kick is used both in kumite and in demonstration performances.
Despite its difficulty, ushiro mawashi geri is considered one of the most impressive techniques in full-contact karate.
